Happy Day Blogging friends!! I hope this finds you and yours well!!

In that "sliding album" I am following the Papercrafts Go To Sketch Book page for page and trying to use each sketch to make a card. It is fun and challenging. Most of the sketches in there, I would never have used if I wouldn't have tried to challenge myself.

Viva La Verve Week 3...Right Here...

Goood morning all!! I hope this finds you all well and rested for the day. Today I want to share the card the I entered in the July Viva La Verve week three challenge! In this challenge, an inspiration and a sketch are posted every week. If you play all month long, there is a wonderful VERVE prize at the end of the month. If you have VERVE stamps, then you are going to want to play, because Verve Stamps ROCK!!! You can check out Verve Stamps on any of the links that say VERVE!! FYI VERVE fans, on August 1s
t, Verve will be three years old and to celebrate, there will be a blog hop. Click on the Verve blog hop on the right hand side of the blog and put in your blog address. The only stipulation is that you use VERVE stamps. If you don't have any, there is still time. Verve has the fasting shipping of any stamps company around.
{Geez...if there was a contest for how many times someone could say VERVE, I would totally win!!} on to the really fun stuff..
This week we picked out out own inspiration from I chose the Crayola collection. I mostly chose the Crayola collection because I have these wonderful holographic sticky sheets that my Mom sent me and I
have been wanting to use them. To be honest, holographic sticky sheets really aren't my bag, but I wanted to use them, because my Mom was kind enough to send them, so this is what I came up with.
AND....I also got to use my new Verve Stamp Set, Blue Skies. Which I love. It is one of Verve's new releases. Check it out HERE!!
Here are the supplies that I used on my card:
Card Dimensions: 5.25 x 5.25
Card Stock: Whisper White, Green Galore (Stampin' Up)
Patterned Paper : Holographic Sticky Sheets
Stamps: Blue Skies (Verve)
Ink: Jet Black Stazon

Pretty easy.
Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you have a blessed day and you stop again soon!!

Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge #6

Good morning!! First of all, I want everyone to know that I CASED this elegant card from Kimberly Crawford, owner and designer of Mint Motif stamps. I had never used this Spellbinders die before and now I have three cards under my belt with it. Thank you Kimberly!!
Now, with that being said, I can move onto this weeks Waltzing Mouse Sketch Challenge.
While you are there, you can check out that last week, I was chosen as Top 3 Mouse at the Waltzing Mouse Sketch blog. You can see the card and my new award at the right of the screen next to this post.

I had to make two cards for this challenge. The number one reason is that I had to cut the amazing Lattice Pendant die cut in half for the card and I didn't want to waste. Also, the stamping room if fairly small for this card and I wanted to make a card with the wonderful "Trust In Him" stamp from Waltzing Mouse's, Words of Wisdom set.
Here is a photo of both cards...

Here is the photo of the "Trust In Him" card.

Last week, my card used the same sentiment, so I was reluctant to use it again. Oh well, were having fun showcasing all of Claire's awesome stamps right???

Here are the supplies that I used to make the card:
Card Dimensions: 4 x 4
Card Stock: Whisper White & Basic Black (Stampin' Up)
Stamps: Words of Wisdom & Fancy Phrases (Waltzing Mouse Stamps)
Ink: Archival Ink (Ranger)
Dies: Lattice Pendant Die (Spellbinders)

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed the cards.
Have a great day and I hope you have time to stop again!!!

Moxie Fab World Card Style Clean & Graphic!!

Good morning Everyone! I hope your Tuesday turned out amazing!! Mine did. The weather here in Western Montana cooled off just a tad and we had nice breezes! It was great, but I am ready to go back to *HOT* weather again. I love a hot summer. I am originally from Arizona, so *HOT* weather is appealing to me.
Today I am entering another Moxie Fab World Card Style Challenge. This is a Clean & Graphic style! The wonderful people at Paper Crafts magazine have put out another great publication and you could win your free issue by leaving comments on Moxie Fab World or Paper Crafts Connection!

On to my creation! It is ironic that this card is the style challenge this week, because a friend of mine asked me to make a wedding card for a friend of hers and I have been thinking that I wanted to go Clean & Simple with it. I think that white space has such an elegant look. I was also inspired by Erin K with her card at SCS. I was so excited when I stumbled upon it, because I love this chandelier stamp by Hero Arts and don't use it very much!!

Here are the supplies that I used to make my card:
Card Dimensions: 5.5 x 4.25
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black (Stampin' Up)
Stamps: Chandelier (Hero Arts); Signature Greetings (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Versamark
Extras: Detail Black Embossing Powder (Missoula Memory Lane)

Well, there it it....
I hope you have a wonderful day and I hope that you have a chance to participate in the challenges over at Moxie Fab World & Paper Craft Connections!

On to my creation for the challenge!!
This is a Fun & Cute Style challenge and it is very much out of my comfort zone. Thank goodness I have this little cute QuicKutz Monkey die. It was the first time that I used it. I had to take it out of the package. That made me a little sad. I hate not using products!

Dreamweaver Stencils!!! I love them!!

Hey Blogging friends.... I hope you all are well on your way to having a SUPER day!!

Today I am featuring a card that I am using at Missoula Memory Lane to promote a Dreamweaver Stencil Class. I love this elk stencil and I used some "Crackle" embossing paste, that I had never used before. After the paste dries, it cracks and then I used distress inks with a stencil brush to "fill" in the cracks. Thanks to advice from Hubs on the colors of the elk!!!
The background is hands down, my favorite stencil. The trees. I have been working with this stencil and Memory Mist's, Adirondack Color Wash Ink's for probably one year. This is the best background that I have made is one year. I am SOO excited about it!!!

Here is what I used on my card:
Card Dimensions: 4.25x5.5
Cardstock: Close to Cocoa, Glossy Card Stock (Stampin' Up)
Stencils: Elk, Forest Trees (Dreamweavers Stencils)
Stamps: Teeny Tiny Wishes (Stampin' Up)
Embossing Pastes: Crackle (Dreamweavers Stencils)
Inks: Terra Cotta (Adirondack Color Wash Ink), Walnut Stain, Frayed Burlap, Antique Linen (Tim Holtz Distress Ink)

Thank you for stopping by today. If you are in the Missoula area, we will be having a Dreamweaver Stencil class at the Missoula Memory Lane very soon!! I will keep you posted!

If you aren't in the Missoula area, please let me know what you think of my card. I love to read your comments!! They really do inspire me!

Have a great day!!

Of all the cards I made for our Dreamweaver Assignment, I think this one is my favorite!!!! I am absolutely in love with the color contrast!!

It took quite a bit of time, all of the different colors are chalk. The stencil squares are pretty small. I think the next time I use the stencil, I will be using colored pencil.

Here is what I used to make the card:
Card Dimensions: 5.5 x 4.25
Card Stock: Basic Black, Bermuda Bay, Whisper White (Stampin' Up)
Chalk: Stampin' Pastels
